Bought this over the tomee tippee because it can now be recharged (older model couldn’t) and it was cheaper. It’s brilliant, it really is. Rather than use a 6mm wooden board for the movement mat to sit on we use a hardback book (think that book’s called tiddler…) and have had no problems at all with it. Our daughter is now 10 days old and have had it in her moses basket from day one.
Only downsides I can think of:
For our 1st child we did not have a movement sensor, we just used a BT monitor which had two way speaking on it, with this AngelCare the parent can not speak to the child. Also, so far I have not found and music to play the child.
I seriously would recommend this to anyone who is stressy about monitoring their baby’s sleeping. My partners sister has also just purchased this and loves it too.

As a couple that lost our first baby we are obviously the target consumer group for a device like this. Before we came home from the hospital with our new son I couldn’t imagine how we would sleep at nights without hovering over his cot to be sure that he was breathing but with this great product we can rest somewhat easier.
We have the cot fairly close to the bed so we had to adjust the sensitivity from the default as the device was picking up our movements in bed to begin with but after a couple of minutes of testing we had it set just right. The device is very simple to use, the build quality is reassuring and after two month of use I don’t have a bad thing to say about it.
I should say we’ve not used it remotely yet as we’re still sharing a room with our son and we all go to bed at the same time but it does allow us to sleep safe in the knowledge that if he does stop breathing then we’ll know early enough to do something about it.
If, like us, you’re a parent fretting about how you’re going to sleep at nights then its a product I can highly recommend.

Excellent product. The Angelcare excels as both a babyphone and a movement sensor. According to the German est magazine, the Angelcare babyphone has one of the lowest levels of radiowave emissions among similar products and is very safe to use. We find it does an excellent job of turning itself on only when it’s needed. And the movement sensor let’s us sleep relaxed and confident that our baby’s doing fine. It even works fine when our daughter moves around her bed and is not right on top of the sensor pad. My only gripe is that the screen does not have a clock. That would be quite useful when you wake up in the middle of the night. Also we find that the thermometer takes a long time to register the right temperature after the sensor unit is turned on. But both these problems were not enough to keep me from giving this product a five star rating. Recommended!

Recently gave birth to a beautiful baby boy via emergency c-section, who was diagnosed with foetus sinus arrhythmia, which resulted in a longer hospital stay. Therefore as an anxious parent I purchased Angelcare to help us monitor our baby when left sleeping in his moses basket.
All I can say is that this peice of equipment is a lifesaver as it has put both my mind and my husband’s at ease. Otherwise, both of us would not have been able to sleep or get on with our day-to-day stuff for we would have been constantly worrying about our son and turning into nervous wrecks.
I personally believe that this type of equipment should be freely given to all mothers when being discharged with their newborns.

as a first time mum i was over paranoid this product helped me get as much sleep as possible without worrying. the beeping of the pendulum didnt keep me awake and ican hear a pin drop through the monitor. some people have mentioned about sensitivity control and not knowing which way is more sensitive. it does tell you in the instructions. i would easily recomend this product
