Is using Fragrance Oils in Perfume Making okay?

I’ve been looking at ‘Make Your Own Perfume’ recipes, and a lot of them say to use Essential Oils. A few have said Fragrance Oils are a cheaper alternative, but are they as good? Also, if you have any good recipes yourself, i’d be grateful if you posted them too. Thanks if you answer!

No, they aren’t as good as essential oils. They are chemicals, but if you don’t mind chemicals, then you can use them. I’d be careful, though, and find fragrance oils that are safe to use on skin.
