This game was bought for my grandson because his cousin who is five and is 18 months younger than him has had it for several months now and really does enjoy it and can get obsessed in trying to beat the bad guys but he is not of an age to really follow it so his dad gets a bit frustrated when he has to speed the game up a bit as it goes from one stage to the next level. I think 7+ is a fair age to play it properly. However I think there could be an element of too much fighting in it so if you are not keen on your child winning by killing the baddies this is not the game for them.

I’m in my 60’s and have never really been a ‘games’ person. However, my wife bought me a Wii (for the Wii FIT) and I treated myself to Lego Star Wars for when the Grandkids came. I found myself engrossed in it and have since bought all of the ‘Lego’ series of which this is one.
So many of modern games are violent and have bad language in them, but parents, be assured that the Lego series do not, they are just great fun.
The main difference between Batman and the other Lego games, is that, once you’ve been through the game playing the part of the capped crusader and his partner, you ‘release’ the baddies and can now play the same scenarios as one of the bad guys. Its such a different approach to a game and one aspect that the kids love.

My 9 yr old son bought this really, not me. But he and his 6 year old brother love it. They particularly like being able to play as the ‘baddie’ and will swop sides regularly. I like the way it doesn’t seem to be quite as frustratingly difficult as the Indiana Jones Lego game (which often ends in a bad mood) so they will happily play this until I make them stop. So peace and quiet reigns while they play it, which is definitely good in my opinion!
