It was ok at first but one big let down is the lack of media sharing or saving. I also have a ps3 so went and bought singstar and the 1100+ songs alone knocks Lips into a ‘cocked hat’ (never really knew what that meant… but hey..!)
The games are similar, song battles, duels, mini games but the fact that I can save my ’singing’ as an audio or video file is brilliant. I can even share it with the Singstar community. It’s great to see how rubbish I really am but that is part of the fun! You can save some of the audio songs you sing in Lips, but not many, it’s a ‘rights issue’ or something.
In short, if you have a ps3 get Singstar… if you haven’t got a ps3 and you have an xbox360 then get Lips…. it’s good but when you have had the best… blah blah blah.

Lips is a really fun game comes with a nice choice of songs a standard with the option to buy more, but this where the biggest problem is ;
the choice of extra songs are outdated and overpriced although you link to your music library through memory stick or home network these do not come with the game feature of lyrics and scores so falls flat after a very short while
I just cannot see why the songs are so overpriced in comparrison to buying the songs from say iTunes and why there are no current songs ( a month or 2 old ) would be nice and some more songs suitable for older children so at least they could play .
overall fun game at first but with the dissapointing choice of additional songs and the overpricing makes it one that soon gets put to the side not to be played again

It is a fun product and really good for parties.
The good thing is that other people while not singing they can tap on the rythm with the joypad.
also in the mic there is a movin sensor.
For everybody there is a song.
