This is a bit tricky to install initially and I’ve heard that the Maxi-Cosi website is not great for telling you if your car will work with it. However, as a rule of thumb if your car has isofix fittings it should be fine. Once you’ve wrestled the isofix locators into place life gets easier and the unit itself has indicators to say it is fitted correctly.
Once you have it fitted to the car it is great. No more messing around with the seatbelts and after a bit of initial stiffness it is really easy to get in and out. It saves my wife loads of time and makes the trauma of going out with the little one that bit more bearable.
FYI my daughter is only 2 months old but friends of ours are still using a cabriofix with a 10 month old so don’t believe all the age estimates.
In my opinion this is an expensive but incredibly useful device, as well as improving the safety of our daughter, so I guess that is priceless.

This base gives me peace of mind that my baby is safely in the car. Once attached to the car, the base does not wiggle. Also, if needed, you can use the base in a car without isofix, as the attachments can be “hidden” inside the base and the base attached with a seatbelt. And, it’s easy to put the car seat in and out of the car. There are indicators that go from red to green to let you know the base and car seat are attached correctly. I can put in and remove the car seat quickly from the car, making it nice for me to not have to stand in the rain and fiddle with a seatbelt. I would definitely recommend this base. It is a must for safety an for making life with an infant easier.

This product makes getting baby into & out of the car a breeze. No more wrestling with the seat-belt, the Maxi-Cosi car seat just clicks into place & just tug the release handle on the front of the base while lifting the seat to remove. After a couple of goes it is really quick & simple. A must-buy if you have the Maxi-Cosi seat.
