Need For Speed: Shift

Product Description

Need for Speed SHIFT is an all-new simulation racing IP that combines the true drivers experience with real-world physics, pixel-perfect car models, and a wide range of authentic race tracks. Need for Speed SHIFT takes players in a different direction to create a simulation experience that replicates the true feeling of driving high-end performance cars. Players are thrust into the loud, visceral, intense, athletic experience of racing a car on the edge of control from the drivers perspective through the combination of perception based G-forces, the hyper reality of the cockpit view, and the brutal experience of a first person crash dynamic. Need for Speed SHIFT features an accurate, accessible physics-based driving model that allows you to feel every impact, every change of track surface and every last bit of grip as you push yourself to the edge.

Need for Speed SHIFT is being developed by Slightly Mad Studios in collaboration with Black Box and senior vice president Patrick Soderlund at EA Games Europe. Slightly Mad Studios includes developers and designers that worked on the critically acclaimed games GT Legends and GTR 2.

  2. this is nothing more than a remake of pro street, its has the same tracks and cars with better graphics and less race modes and car customizing. but it still is somehow better than pro street and is a good racing game.
online has some bugs, but what game hasn’t on the patchstation 3

  3. I bought this game on the very day it was relised…….. never again. The game is a complete disgrace. It seams they couldnt bother with the phisics. Lets relise it people will buy this creap just cause the name anyway…. cars are totally out of control. The graphics improved every other detail including the gameplay is rubish. Guys Im enyoying GT5 Prolouge million times better then this. THAT IS NOT A FULL GAME. STILL DOESNT HAVE ONE SINGLE BUG IN IT. Its just the same as with cars. If its japanese you will not have a single problem, if its european or american….. boaaaaa. Dont buy this crep. Give your money to a homeles guy intead trust me thats gonna be more fun…..

  4. This is not a bad game in fact its ok but in terms of graphics and overall feel I was left disappointed – compared to Grid its nowhere near as good – the graphics are a major disappointment. It doesn’t come anywhere near the experience in Grid. Its ok – if you want something to fill the gap until GT5 comes out next year. I thought I could use it as a stop gap but I am about to take if off my wish list – I played the demo and its not worth the money in my opinion.

Should of… could of been better……. it may be better or different than other Need for Speed Games but it should match or exceed Grid – it doesn’t for graphics and experience…… I’ve seen it reduced in Gamestation at the weekend and now I know why. Personally I will wait for GT5.

  5. OK, we see here a huge change from other nfs games, and that change would be welcome. But its not!

This is possible the biggest overrated game through advertising ive ever seen. The driving experience is actually about 3 times slower than the adverts seemed to suggest, and the crashes that you so well circumnavigate? nope. its slow, its boring, there is absolutely no storyline! basically, its “get to the world tour” woop woop lol, incredible boring.

The menu design, graphics are fantastic, but with the annoying driving experience, lack of storyline, and ridiculous change from other nfs games, it gets a one start from me. NO FREE ROAM??? Great fun.

Even upgrading your cars are annoying. changes to the cars design and bodywork come in Bodykit one, two and so on, you cant even choose your own upgrades there!

Upgrading the engine and specs are just plain boring also, whereas before its was challenging to upgrade, racing for money, only just having enough, really fun.

I will be trading this game in as soon as possible, and getting NFS CARBON! (the best made of all the NFs titles(with exception on the underground series))
