Cheap-looking phone with appalling ring tones (previous reviewers have mentioned this, but they do not convey the full horror that awaits the unsuspecting buyer). Immediately arranged for it to be returned – truly horrible!

Pleased with phone quality. Far superior to the BT Diverse we had previously. Very stylish, solid feeling. We wanted a good speaker phone and we are very pleased with it. We use BT Call sign but the different rings are not very distinctive, but then I didn’t think to check whether this model supported Call Sign before buying. I personally hate all the ringtones. They sound hollow and tiny and I would not have bought this model had I heard them beforehand. I really wanted to like it but at least it looks gorgeous! Unfortunately it will probably last years if the other reviews are anything to go by.

I primarily got these due to the Panasonic name, and their swish appearance. I have a lot of Panasonic technology: it’s always been a cut above the rest in terms of functions, ease of use, reliability and quality. These handsets are good, with excellent battery life, quick recharge, and general overall functions – the interface is somewhat lacking. The volume controls allow you to really boost the ear and handsfree speaker to a good level. Niggles that contributed to the lost star: no easy upload of contacts from a mobile SIM card to handsets (I knew this before ordering, but it should really be included in the price, as it is with other comparable handsets); the landline SMS (texting) function could really benefit from predictive texting – it takes at least 4 times longer to write messages due to the lack of predictive text, and unintuitive interface. If you pause too long when creating a text, for example, the menu resets, taking you back to the default screen, and guess what – you’ve lost your message! (I appreciate not everyone will use the SMS feature, but it’s something to be aware of.)

Overall, good appearance, and handset hardware (battery life, etc), but poor interface operation (SMS), and no SIM contact management!

Having bought a digital telephone a few years ago in order to keep up with the national trend of going DIGITAL just to find that the phones were in fact a bit useless. However these Panasonic telephones are 100 times better than the previous ones I had. They are easy to use, (the instructions are so simple), the volume on the phones just great, answer machine is so simple and they look fab as well. I would recommend these to anybody in fact I already have.

  5. Work very well. Choice of ring tones is a bit naff. If not for that it would have been 5 star
