Bought this set to replace a very old analogue cordless. Very happy indeed with it, high-capacity memory, good battery life, good reception.

Couple of not-so-good points: you can enter masses of numbers and broadcast the address book throughout all three handsets but groups that you allocate on one set aren’t propagated to the others – very odd. The ring tones are fairly dreadful, but that seems to be the norm with modern handsets. I quite like a good old plain Ring Ring! but you just can’t get that even on modern gizmos :-)

Finally, when there’s message waiting, it would be useful to have an occasional bleep from the base station; as it is, you have to remember to look to see if there’s a tiny flashing light to tell you there’s a message waiting.

Anyway, they’re fairly minor gripes, I’d recommend this Panasonic set.

  2. I love them. Easy to use really like the fact you just need to put in the address book once and it will copy to the others. Really reccommend.

  3. Excellent quality, super range and being able to send the phone memory to each handset is a super time saver.

Thanks to the reviews here, I purchased this on behalf of an elderly family member (as they were being bugged with some of those marketing calls that we all hate, so wanted to see who was calling before answering). The display on their previous phone was so poor that it was virtually impossible to see who was calling plus the phone book memory had been insufficient. So, the fact this has a large clear display and a 200 number phone book was a big selling point.

I set the phone up on their behalf, entering all their contact names and numbers, and there were still plenty of spaces left in the memory to add more. As another reviewer said, it is excellent that you can copy the phone book from one handset to another (as they had only previously had numbers stored in one of their three handsets). They are so pleased that at last they can clearly see who is calling.

There are many good features on this phone and one we liked was that you can call one of the other handsets and chat. I should think this would be particularly useful if you were ill in bed and wanted to call someone downstairs to bring you something up, or if someone was out in the garden and you needed to speak to them, for example.

There is nothing seriously negative that I saw whilst setting up this phone though I’ve always used phones with a navigational button rather than a navigational joystick so found the directional control quite sensitive. For example, I nearly accidentally deleted the entire phonebook (which I’d spent hours creating) as I intended to press the middle of the joystick to signify “OK”, but must have pressed the joystick slightly off-centre (pushing it in a downwards direction) and before I knew it I had scrolled down to the next menu item which happened to be delete phonebook … eek! (This happened before I’d had chance to copy the contacts to the other handsets so it could have spelt disaster!) However, this would NOT put me off buying one and I’m sure you soon get used to it. Another really minor thing was that the telephone cable supplied with the phone was very short compared to what the user had previously, so a telephone extension cable had to be purchased separately (they had tried swapping the telephone cable over from their old phone but that didn’t work).

Overall though, a great phone that I would not hesitate to purchase for myself.

After I had put up with various BT phones over the years, it was time to upgrade. The reviews on the Panasonic were overwhelming on all the sites I visited (& rightly so).

These phones are simple to setup (after a look-through the manual), easy to enter numbers in the phone-book, and great to use.

    Without going into a lengthy review, here’s the PRO’s & CON’s:

    PRO’s

    *Look great.

*Easy to read screen & many option on what to display. I have “time & date” for quick reference, which I find handy.

    *Easy to setup.

*Lots of features – so reading the manual will enhance your knowledge of what they can do.

*Answering machine simple to use & can be turned on & off at the touch of a button (good when you’re going out).

*Enter your phonebook in 1 phone & then transfer the list to the others. No messing around with 3 phonebooks.

*Loud, clear reception. Also speakerphone option for open conversations with others in the room.

*Pager & intercom features for letting everyone know that dinner is ready !

*Entries in the phonebook can be put into catagories (Family, Friends, Work, etc.) Catagories & numbers can have their own ringtone, so you know who’s calling.

    CON’s

*There are lots of ringtones, however, they aren’t brilliant. That being said, it’s only a ringtone & unless that bothers you that much, it isn’t that important.

All in all, these are the best phones I’ve owned. I would recommend them to everyone & when they eventually wear out, I would look for something similar again.
