  1. Worked the first time I took it out and hasn’t worked properly since. Such as shame as now have to mess around an age for a refund from amazon. Lets face it anything you can buy on amazon you can still get cheaper on ebay.

Well made, but as others have said fitting it can be bit confusing as the instructions are not that clear. Took me ages to get it within 12mm so it works as my forks are quite large. Also had a problem when trying to set it up as the screen image in the manual looked nothing like mine! what was not clear was that I had to put it into a different mode in order to make contact for the first time between the sender and the unit. The other thing that is annoying is I can find no way to turn it off! Does anyone know how? Its seems a waste of the batteries.

Once set up though it works very well, just wish the instructions were more clear.

having started to do 20 mile rides with a friend to aid my gym work i decided to buy a bike computer and having read reviews of varying items picked this one, i found it easy to install easy to program and easy to use, great little piece of kit

  4. This is my second one of these, only because I was foolish enough to drop the other one, a great number of times.

Worry not about that comment, however, because the device is generally as sturdy as you would expect a small piece of electronic equipment to be!

The computer is simple enough to operate and has enough features for experts and beginners alike. I use my computer as a motivational tool in terms of distance travelled rather than how long it takes, and I find the computer to be accurate when on good batteries. The wireless signal between sensor and receiver is robust and does not suffer interference during normal use.

New users may find the machine a little confusing because it will start out in German! But this is easy to remedy. You might also think the instructions are confusing, but if you follow the diagrams, it’s quite easy to work out to be honest.

Battery life is very good and the one thing that sets this computer apart from others at this price point, is that you can reset the Odometer if you install fresh batteries – I found this lack of a feature frustrating on two Cateye computers I Have had in the past year or so!

Overall a great computer. Get one because I think it’s a bargain.

No doubt – this is a nice bit of kit and if you have a road bike I’m sure it will do the job just great. However if you have mountain bike with front suspension beware! The magnet on the spokes must be with 12mm of the reader which is hard to achieve even if mounted down close to the hub. Meanwhile the reader must be within 70cm of the display unit which on my bike is not possible. I also believe that the large amount of metal between the reader and display unit, which is due to the bulky forks, sheilds the signals and adds to the problem of communications between the device components. On my pretty standard 19″ frame MTB i can’t get the thing to work reliably. I therefore tried it on my sons smaller bike and it works fine. I’m not happy but my son if well chuffed!!!!
